Hi! We’re Cassius & Theresa.

After years immersed in California’s wine country, we were inspired to learn all we could about the wines we were drinking and the vineyards crafting them.

Theresa started her wine journey in 2012, attending and earning the Certified Wine Professional certification from the Culinary Institute of Art, Greystone. Cassius began his own studies of wine, becoming a Certified Wine Educator from the Society of Wine Educators. That lead to more wine certifications from the WSET, Society of Wine Educators, Napa Valley Wine Academy, Italian Wine Central, and Wine Scholar Guild. And finally, the pinnacle, Certified Sommelier certification awarded from the Court of Master Sommeliers.

We're certified wine lovers. This means we've read the books and learned the wine lingo, so you don’t have to. We’re ready to explain high-level wine concepts in a way that makes sense for everyone. During our research (read: many tastings), we found ourselves drawn to private, family-owned wineries. Often overshadowed by some of the bigger names in the area, we believe these venues offer the most intimate and memorable tasting opportunities.
